APS POWER UPGRADE FOR GOLF GTI

Details for a new stage one engine performance upgrade for the recently launched Mk6 Volkswagen Golf GTI have just been released by the tuning firm APS.

The technicians at APS in Brackley have undertaken thorough research which has resulted in the stage-one kit being made up purely of an ECU-re-map for the newly revised version of VAG’s renowned turbocharged 2.0-litre TFSI engine.

The standard Volkswagen Golf GTi produces 210bhp and 207lb-ft of torque, and with the addition of the APS the power jumps up to 250bhp, with torque jumping to an impressive 292lb-ft at 2650rpm. This shows fantastic and significant performance improvements, with the 0-62 benchmark time falling from 6.9 to 6.2 seconds, which is marginally quicker than the upcoming Scirocco R. And also expected to increase is the GTi’s top speed on the standard 149mph, to an expected 155mph.

The APS Stage One Mk6 Volkswagen Golf GTi upgrade is currently available and priced at £599. And in case you ever had any worries about this package, APS’s conversions are covered by a guarantee for the balance of the manufacturer’s warranty. Just check you’re adequately covered by your insurance company of course.

Volkswagen Golf GTi from £365.36 per month.
